Ten AI roleplay platforms compared on two questions most comparisons skip: which departments each one actually covers, evidenced by the vendor's own use-case pages, and what it evaluates — video behavior, cold calls or speech. Hosting region, vendor domicile and certification are the third axis. Checked against public vendor sources on 8 September 2026.

Ask a category manager when they last practiced a supplier negotiation, and the answer may well be at a seminar three years ago. Ask a sales rep the same question about a cold call, and there is usually a tool, a budget and a dashboard for it. Leadership, customer service, recruiting, onboarding and compliance face the same imbalance. Most comparisons of AI roleplay software reinforce it by looking at just one department.

This comparison looks at two questions that are often left unanswered. Which departments does each platform actually cover, based on the vendor's own use-case pages? And what does each platform evaluate? Video behavior analysis, cold-call simulation and speech analytics measure very different things, even though they are often grouped into a single category. For European buyers, there is a third consideration: hosting region, vendor domicile and certification. Every claim below was checked against public vendor sources on 08.09.2026.

Sleak is an AI Coach from Munich that helps organizations develop business-critical skills. It combines two modes. Coaching Mode (KNOW) teaches through dialogue, while Training Mode (DO) lets employees practice a spoken conversation with a virtual counterpart. Each session is evaluated against a Scorecard defined by the leader, with every judgment linked to specific moments in the transcript. A Training Scenario combines a persona and context into a configurable practice situation. Several scenarios can then be arranged into a Development Program. Sleak publishes dedicated use-case pages for sales, procurement, leadership and service, with recruiting available as an extension product. Onboarding is documented through customer case studies. More than 600 organizations have conducted over 75,000 AI conversations on the platform (as of 08.09.2026).

Manager analytics are anonymized by default, so individual performance stays private. Sessions run in the browser and over the phone, in 35 languages and regional dialects. On compliance: ISO 27001 certified, EU-only hosting with data residency in Germany, a processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, conformity with the EU AI Act, no customer data used for AI training, no emotion recognition and no biometric profiling. Audio recording is off by default and the transcript is the artifact. Pricing is tailored to the individual organization. The vendor is Sleak GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, HRB 292228, a fully European company with 100 per cent of its shares held in Europe. G2 shows 13 reviews at 4.9 out of 5, OMR Reviews shows 1 review at 5.0 out of 5 (both retrieved 08.09.2026).

Disclosure: Sleak is our own product.

Strengths

  • Six of seven departments backed by a dedicated public use-case page, including procurement, which only Retorio, Careertrainer.ai and Skillsoft CAISY also document
  • Evaluation against a standard you define rather than a model shipped by the vendor: the same scorecard logic carries a discovery call, a supplier negotiation and a performance conversation
  • ISO 27001, EU-only hosting in Germany, an Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement and EU AI Act conformity from a fully European vendor headquartered in Munich with 100 % of its shares held in Europe, so no CLOUD Act exposure
  • Anonymized manager analytics as the default setting, which shortens works-council approval in European rollouts
  • Proven expansion beyond the entry department: at FEGA & Schmitt a single sales initiative grew to more than 900 employees across over 100 teams, covering sales, procurement, leadership and HR in one system
  • Real call recordings can be uploaded and analyzed with the same scoring as practice conversations, shipped in version 2.6 on 13.07.2026

Not ideal for

  • Compliance training as a subject in its own right: there is no public use-case page and no ready-made scenario library for it. A team that needs an off-the-shelf compliance curriculum gets there faster with Skillsoft CAISY.
  • Teams that want training data pulled automatically from CRM, calendar or HRIS: those connections do not exist today, and the path is manual.
Best for
organizations that want to develop more than one department and set the evaluation standard themselves instead of inheriting the vendor's.

Retorio has the second-broadest documented department coverage in this field and describes itself as "The AI Coaching Platform for Sales, Leadership & Service". The vendor is Retorio GmbH, based in Munich. Dedicated use-case pages exist for sales, leadership, customer service, onboarding, after-sales, product training and procurement, the last one titled "Procurement Training: AI Role-Play for Negotiation". What separates Retorio is the evaluation model: per vendor it analyzes multimodally, combining verbal, vocal and visual signals from video, and in a blog post names the Big Five personality model as its scientific foundation, expressly as an explanatory lens rather than a personality test; emotions are not inferred, by its own account.

Per vendor, Retorio is GDPR compliant, aligned with the EU AI Act and ISO 27001 certified, hosted on Google Cloud with EU data residency. Pricing is not publicly documented; the pricing page names only the model (per user, per year or month) and routes to sales. G2 shows 17 reviews at 4.8 out of 5 (retrieved 08.09.2026).

Strengths

  • Five departments with dedicated use-case pages, procurement among them, which is rare in this field
  • Video and behavior analysis as a distinct evaluation layer when presence and body language are part of the learning objective
  • German vendor domicile, ISO 27001 and EU data residency per vendor

Not ideal for

  • Teams that will not have employee video analyzed: the behavioral model is the core of the product, and works councils ask hard questions about facial analysis.
  • Recruiting and compliance: neither is documented as a use case on the current website.
Best for
European manufacturing and automotive organizations that want presence and behavior measured on video.

Pricing
Publicly documented, from 14.99 euros per month for individual users; team plan up to twelve people on the pricing page, quote-based from thirteen

Careertrainer.ai is the incumbent in German-language search for this category and its breadth is real. The product runs voice-based roleplays with immediate feedback, and its solution pages cover leadership (critical feedback, conflict, appraisal and salary conversations), sales (cold calling, discovery, objection handling, price negotiation), negotiation including supplier conversations for procurement, and customer service (de-escalation, complaints, retention). Its procurement page describes scenario paths for heads of purchasing, category managers and operational buyers, which is more specific than most vendors get.

Per vendor the service is GDPR compliant with servers in Germany, and conversation content is not used to train AI models. Pricing is publicly documented and starts at 14.99 euros per month for individual users; the team plan for up to twelve people is on the pricing page as well, and from thirteen people it is quote-based. The legal notice names Jannik Lindner in Baden, Austria, with an Austrian VAT ID; no legal form is stated. No ISO 27001 certification of the vendor itself is publicly documented; the certification belongs to the data centre.

Strengths

  • Four departments with dedicated solution pages, procurement and customer service included, with a German-language scenario library and roleplays in all European languages per vendor
  • A public entry price from 14.99 euros per month, so a team can evaluate without a sales conversation
  • Servers in Germany and an explicit statement that conversation content is not used for model training

Not ideal for

  • Enterprise procurement with vendor due diligence: the legal notice names a natural person in Austria and no legal form, and no ISO 27001 certification of the vendor itself is publicly documented.
  • Recruiting and onboarding as programs in their own right: neither is described as a use case.
Best for
smaller and mid-sized German-speaking teams that want to start on leadership and sales scenarios without a procurement cycle.

CAISY is Skillsoft's Conversation AI Simulator and the only tool in this field that runs compliance as its own scenario category. The product page lists the categories as Leadership, First-Time Managers, First-Time Managers in Tech, Agile Tech and Product Teams, Compliance, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, Well-Being and Procurement. That covers five of the seven departments compared here, and on compliance it stands alone. Custom scenarios can be added.

CAISY arrives with the wider Skillsoft catalogue, which is both its strength and its constraint: it is a module inside an ecosystem rather than a standalone tool. Pricing is not publicly documented and the page routes to a demo or trial. The product page makes no statement about hosting region or EU data residency, so a European buyer settles that in the security questionnaire.

Strengths

  • The only documented compliance scenario category in the entire comparison, alongside procurement and customer service
  • Four separate categories for leadership alone, from first-time manager to tech lead, which is an unusually granular leadership library
  • Direct fit with an existing Skillsoft catalogue where one is already in place

Not ideal for

  • Organizations without a Skillsoft contract: the simulator comes with an ecosystem and is rarely the cheap entry point for a single use case.
  • Buyers with a hard data residency requirement: hosting region and EU data residency are not publicly documented.
Best for
enterprise L&D teams already running Skillsoft that also need compliance conversations covered.

Second Nature matches Sleak on breadth, covering six of seven departments by its own use-case pages, and it is the only vendor in this comparison that does. The navigation lists Sales, Customer Support, Call Center, Human Resources and Learning and Development. The HR page carries the most weight: applicant screening, onboarding, difficult manager conversations and a dedicated section, "Verify compliance across the board", covering diversity and inclusion, anti-harassment and privacy regulation training. What is missing is procurement. Simulation runs through dynamic avatars, and the evaluation targets sales and service conversations.

Per vendor, all data sits in a Google Cloud data center in the Netherlands with AES-256 encryption, and customer data is never used for AI model training. GDPR, SOC 2 and CCPA are named; ISO 27001 is not publicly documented. The company runs offices in Tel Aviv and New York, so it is incorporated outside the EU. Pricing is not publicly documented. G2 shows 439 reviews at 4.7 out of 5, by far the largest review base in this field (retrieved 08.09.2026).

Strengths

  • Six of seven departments documented, including compliance and recruiting, a combination no other vendor here shows
  • 439 G2 reviews at 4.7 out of 5, the most substantial public user base in the comparison
  • EU data residency in the Netherlands and an explicit commitment that customer data does not enter model training

Not ideal for

  • Procurement organizations: supplier negotiation is not a documented use case.
  • European buyers running a CLOUD Act review: the data sits in the EU but the vendor is based in Israel and the US, and that distinction surfaces in every serious security review.
Best for
international sales and service organizations that want a large, verifiable user base behind the decision.

Zenarate comes from the contact center and therefore measures something different from the sales tools around it. The platform combines conversation simulation, software simulation, AI coaching and automated quality assurance on real interactions. Documented use cases are contact center and customer service, sales, leadership, new-hire onboarding, collections and back office. For an organization onboarding frontline staff at volume, having training and quality scoring in one system is the most coherent architecture in this list.

The vendor is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with further offices in Denver and North Bethesda. On its own security page Zenarate states that all data is hosted on AWS and that "Databases are located in the United States", and that its information security program follows the SOC 2 framework. ISO 27001 certification and EU data residency are not publicly documented. Neither is pricing. G2 shows 33 reviews at 4.9 out of 5 (retrieved 08.09.2026).

Strengths

  • Simulation and automated quality assurance of real conversations in one platform, which closes the gap between training and QA at high call volume
  • Four documented departments with a clear frontline focus, collections and back office included
  • Software simulation alongside conversation simulation, so agents practice on the systems they operate mid-call

Not ideal for

  • European organizations with a data residency requirement: the databases sit in the United States per vendor.
  • Procurement, recruiting and compliance: none of the three is documented as a use case.
Best for
large contact center and service organizations without a hard EU hosting mandate.

Hyperbound

Languages

Pricing
Not publicly documented · the page names only the Free, Practice Enterprise and Perform Enterprise tiers

Hyperbound is highly specialized in a single department: sales. It simulates buyers for cold calls, discovery and preparation for specific deals. Every documented use case also stays within sales: pre-call prep, everboarding and change management, hiring, onboarding and certifications, and QA and deal assessment. Leadership, procurement, customer service and compliance have no dedicated use-case page. That focus makes it particularly relevant for SDR organizations looking to improve cold-call quality.

Per vendor, Hyperbound is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and the product runs in more than 25 languages. EU data residency appears on the pricing page as an enterprise add-on, so it is not the default. Pricing is not publicly documented; the page names only the Free, Practice Enterprise and Perform Enterprise tiers. G2 shows around 40 reviews at 4.9 out of 5 (retrieved 08.09.2026).

Strengths

  • The deepest cold-call and discovery simulation in this comparison, including scoring and certification of entire SDR teams
  • SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 per vendor, which removes most of the friction from a security review
  • Hiring evaluation on the same simulation model the team later trains on

Not ideal for

  • Any department other than sales: leadership, procurement, service and compliance are undocumented.
  • Teams with a fixed EU hosting requirement: EU data residency is an Enterprise-tier add-on rather than the baseline; by default the servers sit in the United States per the trust center.
Best for
outbound-heavy sales organizations that want measurably better cold calling.

Model training
Contradictory — the business page and trust centre exclude organisation data, the pricing page makes exclusion a feature from the Advanced tier up, and the terms of service grant a perpetual licence explicitly including "to train models"
Languages
More than 40 claimed; the help centre named 29 variants, so 24 distinct languages, as of June 2026
Pricing
Pro 8 US dollars per month and Advanced 20 US dollars per month, both billed annually; team and enterprise custom

Yoodli is the only tool here that measures delivery first and content second. Per vendor it analyzes pacing, conciseness and sentence starters, and layers roleplays on top for sales, partner enablement, leadership, customer support, onboarding, certification, executive coaching and interview preparation. For the question "how does this person come across when they speak", it gives the most direct answer in the comparison. For the question "did they do the right thing in the conversation", it gives the most indirect one.

Yoodli is, alongside Careertrainer.ai, one of two vendors here with public individual pricing: Pro at 8 US dollars per month billed annually, Advanced at 20 US dollars per month billed annually, with team and enterprise pricing custom. Per vendor it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and GDPR compliant; no hosting region or EU data residency is documented on the public pages. The founding team is based in Seattle. G2 shows 8 reviews at 4.7 out of 5 (retrieved 08.09.2026).

Strengths

  • Public individual pricing from 8 US dollars per month, alongside Careertrainer.ai the only vendor in this comparison with that transparency
  • Quantified speech analytics that make delivery visible where other tools only score content
  • A wide roleplay range beyond sales, reaching into executive coaching and interview preparation

Not ideal for

  • Evaluation against a company-defined conversation standard: the emphasis sits on speech metrics rather than a leader-defined scorecard.
  • Buyers with a data residency requirement: the hosting region is not publicly documented.
Best for
individuals and teams working on delivery, pacing and presentation.

Mursion is the only vendor here that puts trained humans behind the avatars, at least for its most demanding scenarios, which it reserves for "capstone experiences and executive use cases where the human touch is part of the value". The skill areas are people leadership and coaching, change leadership and agility, communication and conflict, performance and accountability, influence and alignment, inclusive cultures, and customer and service skills. The sectors named are leadership development, sales, customer service, healthcare and education.

The vendor is based in San Francisco. Pricing is not publicly documented and no public pricing page exists. The site publishes no data residency, EU hosting or certification detail, pointing instead to a trust center. G2 shows 2 reviews at 4.5 out of 5, too thin a base to carry a purchasing decision (retrieved 08.09.2026).

Strengths

  • Human-operated avatars for high-stakes scenarios that an AI counterpart does not yet carry convincingly
  • An unusually differentiated leadership portfolio, from change leadership to conflict conversations
  • Documented traction in healthcare and education, outside the usual sales domain

Not ideal for

  • Practice at volume: human-operated sessions cannot be scheduled on demand, which caps how often a person actually practices.
  • European procurement: neither data residency nor certifications nor pricing is publicly documented.
Best for
enterprise leadership programs built around few but very high-quality simulation sessions.

3spin Learning comes from immersive learning rather than conversation simulation, and connects the two by putting AI avatars into VR and AR. The authoring platform works without programming, and the documented use cases are HR, sales, customer service and laboratory and pharmaceutical safety, with a separate page for AI soft skills training for leadership. Per vendor the training covers conversation skills, feedback and conflict resolution. For an organization already running VR training, this is the short path to conversation practice inside the same system.

The vendor is 3spin Learning GmbH & Co. KG, Heinrich-Hertz-Strasse 6, 64295 Darmstadt, HRA 84234, with a partnership with the TÜV NORD GROUP. Per vendor the platform is GDPR compliant and hosted in Germany. Pricing is not publicly documented. No public review base on G2 or OMR Reviews was findable on 08.09.2026.

Strengths

  • A German vendor with a commercial register entry, GDPR-compliant hosting per vendor and a TÜV NORD partnership
  • Conversation practice and safety training in one authoring environment, buildable without programming
  • VR and AR as an additional modality when the physical situation is part of the learning objective

Not ideal for

  • Pure conversation practice with no VR ambition: the product weight sits on immersive formats, so the effort per scenario is higher.
  • Procurement, recruiting and compliance conversations: none of the three is documented as a use case.
Best for
companies with existing VR learning infrastructure that want to add soft-skills practice.

How to choose AI roleplay software

What AI roleplay software has to deliver in 2026

AI roleplay software is most useful when it scores conversations against a clearly defined standard rather than a general idea of what a good conversation sounds like. This is one of the main differences between platforms, yet most comparisons barely mention it. So ask every vendor the same question: what does the platform actually measure? Retorio analyzes video and behavior. Second Nature runs avatar-led sales and service conversations. Hyperbound scores cold calls in a simulated dialer. Yoodli measures delivery, while Zenarate evaluates contact center quality. Sleak uses a scorecard written by the leader, as explained on the Training Mode for AI roleplays page. These are five different answers to the same question, and none is automatically right for every team.

The third requirement is practice volume. At Energieversum, weekly one-to-one sessions that used to take about an hour now take roughly 15 minutes, because the practice itself no longer depends on a team lead being in the room. Marc Weißbrenner, Head of Field Sales, puts the reason plainly: "The one-to-one roleplays used to consume the time and expertise of our best team leads. Now we no longer need them to run every practice conversation." A tool that delivers one conversation per person per quarter changes nothing. What that looks like in a sales team is covered in 10 ways AI role-plays transform sales training.

Which tool covers which department

Not one tool in this comparison covers all seven departments with a dedicated, publicly verifiable use-case page. Two reach six, Sleak and Second Nature, and they differ in exactly the seventh: Sleak documents procurement, Second Nature documents compliance. The mapping below rests entirely on vendor pages that were live on 08.09.2026. No coverage claimed without a source, and none withheld without a check.

  1. Sales: all ten vendors. This is why every existing list stops here.
  2. Procurement and supplier negotiation: Sleak, Retorio, Careertrainer.ai and Skillsoft CAISY. Six of ten document nothing at all.
  3. Leadership: Sleak, Retorio, Careertrainer.ai, Skillsoft CAISY, Second Nature, Zenarate, Yoodli, Mursion and 3spin Learning. Only Hyperbound is absent.
  4. Customer service: everyone except Hyperbound.
  5. Recruiting and candidate assessment: Sleak, Second Nature and Hyperbound.
  6. Onboarding: Sleak, Retorio, Second Nature, Zenarate, Hyperbound and Yoodli.
  7. Compliance conversations: Skillsoft CAISY and Second Nature. Nobody else.

Two qualifications belong with that list. Compliance is the weakest row in the whole field, and when the real requirement is compliance knowledge rather than the compliance conversation, simulation is the wrong instrument and dialogue-based knowledge transfer is the right one, which is what Coaching Mode covers. Procurement is the row where most international vendors drop out, because they treat a supplier negotiation as a sales conversation with the roles reversed.

Broad coverage is not automatically better. It can, however, determine whether you are running one platform in two years or four separate ones. FEGA & Schmitt started with a sales initiative. Today, more than 900 employees across over 100 teams use the same system in sales, procurement, leadership and HR.

Privacy and EU hosting: the deciding factor for European teams

Of the ten vendors here, five publicly document an EU server region, two either name the United States outright or make EU data residency an add-on, and three say nothing about hosting region at all. Four of those five are flagged as EU hosting in this comparison, because at Second Nature the servers sit in the EU and the company behind them does not. That is the reality behind the "GDPR compliant" badge in the footer. A European buyer therefore checks five things separately instead of trusting a logo: the hosting region of the databases, the vendor's country of incorporation, the certificates themselves rather than a claim about them, the Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement, and the sub-processor list. What a security review actually asks for is set out on the Sleak security page.

Vendor domicile is the point most often skipped. Second Nature hosts in the Netherlands per vendor but runs offices in Tel Aviv and New York, and an EU data center alone does not close the CLOUD Act question. Zenarate states itself that its databases sit in the United States. Hyperbound sells EU data residency as an add-on. Sleak, Retorio, Careertrainer.ai and 3spin Learning are incorporated in the EU. The questions a works council raises around this are covered in GDPR-compliant AI coaching.

The criteria to check before you choose

Selection criteria differ by department far more than most comparisons admit. For procurement, what decides is whether supplier personas carry their own negotiation tactics, the way procurement negotiation training sets out, because a sales scenario with the roles reversed is not procurement training. Check along the department you are actually buying for:

  1. Sales: does the tool score the stages of your own sales process or a generic selling model? And how many cold-call repetitions can one rep realistically complete per week?
  2. Procurement: are there supplier personas with negotiation tactics, anchor prices and concession discipline, and are framework agreements and renegotiation modeled as scenarios of their own?
  3. Leadership: does the scenario library cover critical feedback, conflict and termination conversations, and does the manager's own performance stay confidential?
  4. Customer service: can escalation tiers and system handling be modeled, or does the simulation stop at pure dialogue?
  5. Recruiting: does every candidate get the same scenario and the same standard, and does a human make the final call?
  6. Data protection: hosting region, vendor domicile, the certificate itself, the Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement, the sub-processor list.
  7. Evaluation ownership: can you define and version the standard yourself, or does the tool score against a model you cannot inspect?

Four mistakes cost a full project year with some regularity: buying only for the department that shouts loudest, treating "GDPR compliant" as a certificate, never doing the arithmetic on practice volume per person, and leaving the evaluation standard to the vendor instead of writing it yourself.

Four steps to the right platform

The order of the selection process matters just as much as the tool itself, and it should not begin with a demo. FEGA & Schmitt turned a single sales initiative into a system covering four functions, with an average participant rating of 4.83 out of 5. These four steps describe the path:

  1. Write down which three departments will need practice capacity over the next 24 months. Buy for all three, not just the first.
  2. Define the evaluation standard for the most important of them before you sit through demos. Without it you are comparing interfaces.
  3. Get hosting region, vendor domicile, certificates and the processing agreement in writing before the pilot starts. Changing platforms after works-council approval is expensive.
  4. Start with a small pilot and a fixed target number of practice conversations per person, then expand to the second department.

How we ranked these tools

The basis is publicly available vendor information: websites, use-case and solution pages, pricing pages, security and privacy pages and legal notices, checked on 08.09.2026. Department coverage follows one hard rule: a vendor is credited with a department only where it publishes a dedicated use-case or solution page for it that was retrievable on that day. Review counts from G2 and OMR Reviews were pulled live on the same date. Prices appear only where the vendor documents them publicly, which in this field means Yoodli and Careertrainer.ai; everything else reads "not publicly documented". Claims that come only from the vendor are marked as such. Verify vendor-specific detail directly before deciding, because hosting regions and certifications change faster than websites do.

FAQ: AI roleplay software

What does AI roleplay software cost?

Only two of the ten vendors document pricing publicly. Yoodli lists 8 US dollars per month for Pro and 20 US dollars per month for Advanced, both billed annually, and Careertrainer.ai starts at 14.99 euros per month for individual users. Everyone else in this comparison, Sleak included, publishes no pricing. Sleak tailors its pricing model to the individual organization, and the number comes out of the conversation. If you find a price for any of the other vendors in a comparison article, it is a third party's estimate rather than a vendor figure.

Which tools actually host in the EU?

Four of ten are flagged as EU hosting here, because server region and vendor domicile line up: Sleak (EU and Germany), Retorio (EU data residency on Google Cloud, per vendor), Careertrainer.ai (servers in Germany, per vendor) and 3spin Learning (Germany, per vendor). Second Nature documents an EU server region in the Netherlands but is incorporated in Israel and the US, and that combination is exactly what leaves the CLOUD Act question open. Zenarate and Hyperbound name the United States explicitly, and Hyperbound sells EU data residency as an Enterprise-tier add-on. For Skillsoft CAISY, Yoodli and Mursion the hosting region is not publicly documented. Ask for both when in doubt: where the databases sit, and who owns them.

How many languages do these simulations support?

This is where vendor claims diverge most. Sleak supports 35 languages and regional dialects and Hyperbound names more than 25 per vendor. The others publish no figure. For an international rollout the total count matters less than whether the two or three languages your teams actually sell and serve in hold up under domain vocabulary and regional accent. Test that in the pilot on a real scenario rather than against a language list.

Can the evaluation standard be adapted to our own criteria?

With Sleak the evaluation standard is the starting point: a Scorecard describes phases and criteria with defined performance levels, it is versioned, and publishing a version creates an immutable snapshot. Skillsoft CAISY and Careertrainer.ai allow custom scenarios. For the remaining vendors the depth of customization varies, from the persona alone to the full criteria catalogue, and the answer is rarely on the website. Ask directly in the demo: who writes the criteria, and what happens to past scores when the standard changes?

Which integrations do I need, and which exist?

Fewer than most requirement documents demand. Running the platform generally needs SSO and a clean team structure, both of which Sleak provides. Connections to CRM, calendar or HRIS do not exist at Sleak today, so pulling training data automatically out of a CRM requires a manual step or a different vendor. Hyperbound and Second Nature document Salesforce integrations. Decide up front which integration is genuinely a dealbreaker, because every additional required interface adds weeks to the rollout.

When is Sleak the wrong choice?

When you need an off-the-shelf compliance curriculum, Skillsoft CAISY is the better answer, because it is the only vendor here running compliance as its own scenario category. When body language and facial expression on video are part of what you want scored, Retorio measures that more directly. When the requirement is cold calling in an SDR organization and nothing else, Hyperbound gets there faster. And when nobody in the organization is willing to define an evaluation standard, Sleak's advantage never materializes, because that standard is what the scoring rests on.

How does Sleak differ from international platforms?

In two places, both checkable. On scope: Sleak publishes use-case pages for sales, procurement, leadership and service plus recruiting as an extension, while most international platforms stay inside sales and customer service. On domicile: Sleak is a German company with ISO 27001 certification, EU and Germany hosting and an Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement, with no CLOUD Act exposure through its corporate seat. What Sleak does not have is Second Nature's review base, 439 G2 reviews against 13 for Sleak (as of 08.09.2026).

How quickly can Sleak be rolled out to a team?

The limiting factor is defining the evaluation standard, not the technology. Würth introduced Sleak with an 80-person pilot and then extended access to more than 5,000 employees across sales and leadership, with an average rating of 4.76 out of 5. At FEGA & Schmitt a single sales initiative grew to more than 900 employees across over 100 teams. Martina Skibowski, Head of HR, People & Culture, describes the onset: "What surprised me was how quickly Sleak picked up our terminology. After only a few short briefings, it felt like speaking with someone from our own company."

Verdict: which simulation platform to choose

The AI roleplay market is sliced by department, and the published comparisons reproduce that slice instead of resolving it. Of the ten vendors checked here, not one covers all seven business-critical conversation areas with a dedicated use-case page. Two reach six, Sleak and Second Nature, and they part company on the seventh: procurement against compliance. Buying only for sales gives you the widest choice today and the largest problem in two years, when procurement, leadership and service each go out and buy their own tool.

For organizations that want to develop more than one department and own the evaluation standard, these criteria point to Sleak: the broadest documented coverage in the field alongside Second Nature, and of those two the only one incorporated in the EU, with ISO 27001, EU and Germany hosting and an Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement. Where the need is unambiguously compliance training, video behavior analysis, or cold calling and nothing else, Skillsoft CAISY, Retorio and Hyperbound get you there faster.
